Lessons 1

Our lessons are designed for skaters of all ages and all skill levels.  If you want the skills to skate your local skatepark with confidence, carve through gnarly pools, or learn that flippety trick over that enormous gap, then you need to try our skate lessons.   Our retired pro skater and instructor Donny Myhre has a knack for identifying ways of improving your skating by helping you with correct foot placement, stance, body position and proper form.  With his instruction you can accelerate your skills and build a foundation for progression.  In addition to helping you learn and land new tricks, he will help you develop your personal style of skateboarding.  For novice skaters, he will teach you skatepark etiquette which will give you the confidence to go back to the skatepark on your own, and tackle that pool or street course all by your self. Click on the ‘Lessons 2′ tab to learn more.

Lessons 2

Level Of Student
Absolute Beginner Lessons (1st Time on a board?)

These lessons are designed to teach basic foot stance and placement, safety, body positioning and coordination. You will learn how to kickturn, tail drop and ride small banks. Skatepark etiquette is taught so you understand the flow of the skatepark and can help avoid painful collisions and unnecessary confrontations.

Beginner Lessons
In addition to safety, style and foot placement, these lessons are designed to teach carving, tail drops, tail taps, rock fakies, grinds, axle stalls and more. Skatepark etiquette is also taught.

Intermediate Lessons
These lessons focus on tricks such as ollies, board slides, various kick flips, grinds and more.
Style, foot placement and body positioning are just some of the aspects improved upon here.

Advanced Lessons
These lessons are for the aspiring professional skaters, sponsored skaters, and soon to be sponsored skaters. Focus is on targeting tricks, style improvement, contest strategies, videos, endurance and training as well as marketing to sponsors. Video analysis is used to identify and correct problems in landing tricks.

Location
Lessons can take place at one of the local skateparks of your choice. We have two private mini ramps in Williamson county where we give lessons as well. We also give lessons at the site of your choosing, as long as the location allows skating.

Times
For absolute beginners and beginners’ lessons we suggest early morning lessons starting at 8AM to avoid crowds at the park. We are flexible on this time to accommodate different schedules. Intermediate and advanced skaters may schedule lessons at any time available.

Costs
Lessons are $30/hour per person. Each lesson is two hours or longer. A two hour minimum is required. There will be no more than 6 skaters per lesson.

If you want to be certain to have a private lesson with no other students, private lessons are available. The cost is $50/hour with a two hour minimum.

*The ideal size group is 2 to 4 skater, preferably with friends. This is the comfort zone of most kids to avoid intimidation felt in larger groups, and it promotes friendly competition.

What to bring to the lesson:
Please bring a copy of driver’s license (parents’ license if skater is under 18), lesson fee, helmet, pads and skateboard. (pads are optional at most skateparks but helmets are required) We have helmet rentals for $2/lesson.

Parties

Our skateboard parties are great for:

  • special occasions
  • just for the fun of it

How it works.
We come to your house or meet your party at a skatepark or other acceptable location. If the party is at your house, we will bring a rail slide or mini-launch ramp if you feel the skaters are able to use them safely and the location allows it. If necessary we will provide skateboards, helmets and pads as well. Once the kids are padded up we will provide skate lessons for up to 2 hours. This is not a skate demonstration-we want the kids participating and learning! :)

What we provide.
In addition to the mini-launch ramp and rail slide, we offer skateboards, helmets and pads. We also can provide tables and chairs for 12 kids. We provide a skateboard shaped cake complete with edible trucks and wheels as well as goody bags full of skateboard themed items for every party-attendee. Goody bag includes a mini-finger skateboard, skateboard sticker and skateboard candy.

*$100 non-refundable deposit is required at time of scheduling party. The balance is to be paid in full before party starts.
